Architectural Technologist / Technician (Commercial) - Bedford

We are looking for an Architectural Technologist/Technician to join our Commercial Architecture team in our Bedford office.

You will be Part 2 RIBA Qualified or CIAT with minimum 5 years + post qualification practical experience.

This role is for the commercial architecture team and as such a track record in commercial architecture is a requirement. You will have a focus, interest and experience in the retail, industrial and care home sectors in particular.

You will have a high level of technical expertise as well as excellent communication skills, able to establish and maintain client relationships. You will have experience running projects, as well as the the ability to fit into a team, or work individually as the project requires.

We are looking for someone whose portfolio displays examples of their design strength as well as their experience in technical design resolution and detailing capability. 

Specific experience:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software is essential.
  • Experience and proficiency in writing NBS specifications would be useful
  • Knowledge of Revit, Sketch-up, Photoshop and supplementary presentation software packages would also be beneficial.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and the candidate must be willing to travel if the project requires.

RIBA Chartered Architect (Commercial) - Bedford

Planner - Birmingham

We are looking for a talented planner to join our Planning team in Birmingham.

With experience in preparing planning appraisals and applications for development projects, you will be confident when speaking to clients, with the ability to solve problems and assist with building long term relationships. You will be competent using Microstation, Microdrainage and PDS (experienced AutoCAD users will also be considered). Structural CAD Technician - Bedford

We are looking for a structural engineering technician / CAD draftsperson to join our Engineering team in Bedford.

We are looking for a structural engineering technician/CAD draftsperson with min 3 years experience in building structures to join the structural engineering team of our 

multidisciplinary practice in Bedford 

The structures team is growing and this is an opportunity to be part of the development of the firm. We work across several sectors with a current bias towards residential.

Working closely with the Structures Team director and engineers, you will focus on:

  • Preparing drawings
  • Managing incoming and outgoing drawings and documents
  • Some design work, particularly in relation to foundations for housing.

While the majority of work will be on building structures, there will be some work on civil engineering structures such as retaining walls and landscape structures.

Required skills & qualifications:

  • At least 2 years experience in AutoCad drafting of building structures
  • Knowledge of all the main structural materials
  • Desire to understand and learn.

Experience of using TEDDS calculation package is desirable but not a requirement.

Associate Infrastructure Engineer - Birmingham

We are looking for a degree-qualified Infrastructure Engineer to join our Engineering team in Birmingham.

You will have a specific focus on Transport / Flood Risk / Drainage.

You will have a minimum of 5 years experience, which will include the preparation of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies to support Planning Applications for both residential and nonresidential development.

You will have a high level of technical expertise as well as excellent communication and skills. You will be adept at managing a team as well as project and deadline expectations.

The work will include: Due Diligence, Site Appraisals, Feasibility Studies as well as the preparation of Planning Application documentation.

Specific experience:
  • Competent in the use of, Junctions 9, LINSIG and Tempro
  • Ideally experienced in MicroDrainage
  • Experience of flood modelling software preferred but not essential.
