Richardson Milling, Bedford

We’re excited to share our collaboration with Richardson Milling (formerly European Oat Millers) in developing a masterplan that enables the expansion of their milling and production facility on Mile Road, Bedford.

Our Planning, Architecture and Engineering teams worked together to create a comprehensive strategy for the site, while also successfully securing planning consent to transform the area. This comprehensive masterplan aims to optimise vehicle movements, reducing HGV traffic at the Mile Road entrance, as well as introduce a new HGV access point off Windsor Road.

By revitalising the Mile Road and Windsor Road corridors, this project will improve the local environment for residents and enhance a main access in to Bedford town centre. Phase 1 is currently underway targeting completion in the latter half of 2025 with further phases to follow.
