BXR London, 22 Bishopsgate

Woods Hardwick’s Architecture team has worked with Bergman Interiors to deliver the latest BXR London Gym. On the 25th floor of 22 Bishopsgate, the gym offers members panoramic views of London and its iconic landmarks such as the Shard and St Pauls Cathedral, with feature climbing equipment even offering members the opportunity to ‘climb amongst the clouds’. 

In our role as Executive Architect, we took the initial concept layout and specifications by Bergman Interiors and developed the design, ensuring that the aspirations of both client and designer were achieved. Our role included coordination of all consultants, their information and drawings, and the development of detailed drawings, including wall, floor and acoustic details. 

While the main gym floor is designed to look industrial, the luxurious entrance lobby, juice bar and bathroom facilities elevate the space into a class of its own, emphasising the luxury of the BXR brand. The gym also features state of the art studios, including an immersive Versa climbing studio, which with the use of innovative acoustic treatment and lighting techniques, allows members to work out in a fun, club-like atmosphere.
