Midlands Planning team named Town Planning Practice of the Year

Woods Hardwick’s Birmingham Planning team has won SME’s Midland Enterprise Award for Best Multidisciplinary Town Planning Practice in the Midlands.

Great news for the team who are working with developers, land promoters, house builders, property and landowners across the UK. In the Midlands our planners are already successfully guiding clients, including Linden Homes, Heygates, Deltic Group, Grand Union Living Group through the complex town planning system. Working closely with the other Woods Hardwick divisions, architecture, engineering and surveying, the team is focused on delivering optimum solutions and best value for clients.

Last summer we appointed Paul Woods as Planning Director to lead the growth of the business in the Midlands. Former Managing Director of Edge 4 Planning, Paul has more than 30 years experience of town planning in the public and private sector. He was previously Director and Head of Infrastructure Planning at GL Hearn part of Capita Plc. Paul brings with him phenomenal experience on large scale planning and development projects, including town centre redevelopments, infrastructure, commercial and residential schemes.

Being part of a multidisciplinary practice is fundamental to our success. Working closely with our architecture, engineering and surveying colleagues enables us to understand and interpret all the challenges of the built environment, of which the planning system is a major part.
